COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT

'Competency assessment' is a process by which evidence of an individual's performance and knowledge is compiled in relation to the professional skills required through a process with several major steps: goal setting, evidence gathering, comparison of evidence with objectives, judgment

 

This type of assessment focuses on the results of professional performance, taking place in a time not previously determined, in contrast to the traditional assessment that is associated with a course or program and usually occurs in stages, the results of which make up a final grade, the approval of which people occurs based on a scale of points that, in turn, allows statistical comparisons.

 

As for the aspects evaluated, the questions that will be asked are usually not known, and these must be answered at previously defined times.
